Where We’re Going: Future Solutions Now
Living in an ever-changing society has brought many new challenges to young people with visual impairments (VI) including a seventy percent unemployment rate among the VI community. The KC Blind All Stars (KCBAS) Foundation has been established with programs to vigorously combat these obstacles. Established in 1973, KCBAS' programs have a clear goal – increase employment rates for the visually impaired through the foundations’ mission providing Technology, Education, Entrepreneurialism & Employment, Athletics, and Music & Arts (TEAM).
KCBAS Foundation Mission: Provide Educational opportunities and
Entrepreneurial skills to increase
Employment options for the visually impaired community.
Using the TEAM approach to ensure we cover important programs, our concentration on the ‘three E’s’ is designed to allow KCBAS to focus programs on the most critical issue facing the visually impaired today. The foundation demonstrates the long-standing compassion and commitment necessary to create opportunities for the visually impaired.
